Program Leadership

The breadth of experience and talent of our Family Medicine faculty is unsurpassed. Each of our core faculty members maintain board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine and serve as adjunct assistant professors (at least) for the Florida State University College of Medicine, the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, and/or the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Timothy Mott, M.D. – Family Medicine

Program Director

Dr. Mott graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL.

Carrie Gray, D.O. – Family Medicine

Associate Program Director

Dr. Gray completed her medical education at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Leah Soley, M.D. – Family Medicine

Core Faculty

Dr. Soley attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. She has been a part of resident and medical student education for nearly 15 years.

Liza Hamrick, D.O. – Family Medicine

Core Faculty

Dr. “Liza” Hamrick is a 2018 graduate of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. She was a member of the inaugural SBRMC Family Medicine Residency Class during which time she served as Chief Resident.

Timothy Linder, M.D. – Family Medicine

Core Faculty

Dr. Linder graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed a Family Medicine Residency in Jackson, Tennessee and was in private practice for 37 years, frequently serving as preceptor for medical students and residents.

Adam Hamrick, D.O. – Family Medicine & Emergency Medicine

Core Faculty

Dr. Hamrick attended Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a proud graduate of our inaugural Family Medicine residency class.

Bruce Lovins, M.D. – Family Medicine & Hospital Medicine

Core Faculty

Dr. Lovins earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1994.

Marjorie Scaffa, Ph.D., MS, MSci – Behavioral Medicine

Core Faculty

Dr. Scaffa is a licensed professional counselor with masters’ degrees in clinical mental health counseling from the University of South Alabama, and occupational therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University
